Brand Story & Heritage

Founded by CCV, Conferro Heritae is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of culture and heritage. Working across fine art, rare collectibles, and digital archives, we ensure that history is not only remembered, but actively experienced and passed on to the future.

Our approach bridges traditional curation with contemporary technology, allowing collectors, institutions, and audiences to engage with heritage in immersive ways.

Over the years, Conferro Heritae has acquired one of the most expansive private cultural collections in the world. The collection encompasses over 22,000 cinematic artifacts including vintage Bollywood collectibles like booklets, posters, and lobby cards, an archive of 40 million+ vintage advertisements and publications, thousands of original artworks and canvases, and over 15,000 vinyl records. This collection is accompanied by a unique inventory of gramophones, rare books, sculptures and select vintage automobiles. At Conferro, each artifact is preserved with integrity.

With a forward-looking approach, Conferro Heritae integrates blockchain technology, NFTs, virtual exhibitions and digital archiving, ensuring that ownership remains authentic and provenance is proven.

About Our Founder

Ajay Seth

(Chairman, CCV)

“My vision is to see every house, every wall in the world elevated with an artwork.”

This is the motto and ethos of CCV’s founder, Ajay Seth, an avid connoisseur of art. His professional journey is anchored in enterprise, discipline and innovation. A graduate in Commerce, he started working at an early age at DCM, followed by a rigorous training at Naresh Gujral Group. He further solidified his foundation of organizational governance at his half-decade tenure at Godrej.

He later served as a Financial Controller at Haryana Breweries, before venturing into entrepreneurship. In 1986, Seth pioneered India’s first PET bottle project, followed by the establishment of his own FMCG enterprises before establishing himself in the art business.

With 30 years of Seth’s devoted time, he has built an expansive and one-of-a kind inventory. Spending decades in conserving, archiving and promoting his novel archive, Seth’s vision holds an ambitious future for CCV.

Sharan Seth

(Director, Conferro Auctions)

Sharan Seth is a discerning leader with over 17 years of experience across art, heritage and luxury enterprises. His ethos is guided by a long-term vision; to cultivate a new generation of collectors and to inculcate the world of art with advancing technology.

With an academic background in commerce, he earned a Master’s degree in Finance from Essex Business School. Anchoring himself in London, he founded Conferro Auctions in 2013. He has been instrumental in building one of the world’s largest private art and heritage inventory, and the creation of an Art Bank.

Working closely with modern masters in Indian Fine Art, such as S.H. Raza and K.H. Ara, Mr. Seth has placed significant works in key collections across the globe. Beyond his ventures, Seth is committed to supporting emerging artists, artisans, preserving dying crafts, and has contributed to charity associations working for the visually impaired.
