Conferro Heritaè is built on a deeper purpose than simply preserving disappearing voices. At its core is the vision of a print museum and library, an Elysium in the making, devoted to reviving rare and forgotten works and sustaining them as part of a living, accessible record.
Historical publications, including newspapers, magazines, books, or ephemeral prints, cartoons, photographs etc are of immense significance owing to the rarity, heritage value and a means of recorded evolution of the bygone centuries enabling preservation of cultural memory in its most immediate form. They offer an unfiltered view of past social, political, and economic realities, capturing not only major events but also the everyday details that define how people lived, thought, and communicated. Together, they create a layered understanding of history that cannot be reconstructed through hindsight alone.
The vision behind collecting and conserving these materials lies in the urgent need to protect knowledge at risk of being lost. With much of print history already gone, preservation is both essential and complex.
