MORRIS EIGHT:

Provenance: Comes from a Royal family collection who acquired originally from UK. Has been a part of curatorial display at leading Hospitality groups and has been published in HT Brunch magazine, 2019. Featured in various leading Vintage Car rallies in Delhi and Kolkata.

The Morris Eight was a small family car produced by Morris Motors from 1935 to 1948. It was inspired by the sales popularity of the similarly shaped Ford Model Y. The success of the car enabled Morris to regain its position as Britain’s largest motor manufacturer. Announced in October 1938, the Morris Eight Series E brought a major restyle to this segment with a “waterfall” like grill. Even during the war, the production of the car continued for the military, essential civilian use and some export. The popularity of this car, the era it belonged to and its beauty all add to its value as a Collectible.

VICTORIA VICKY SUPERLUXUS:

Victoria Vicky Superluxus is one of the most elegantly styled mopeds of its day. Its engineering was advanced for 1950s; the suspension was well designed and very effective and most importantly, the engine was efficient and reliable.

Founded in 1886, Victoria built bicycles and began motorcycle manufacture in Nürnberg in 1901, many fitted with Fafnir (German) engines. Their first motorcycle was released for sale in 1905, with either Fafnir or Zedel (Swiss) engines. During the very early 20th century they produced automobiles, with limited success, through in WWI they built mostly small motor cycles and bicycles, and in the boom years of the 1920s their business thrived. In April 1945, Victoria Works were almost totally destroyed. In 1947 the rebuilding of the bombed-out factory commenced and soon the production lines were again humming. The initial production consisted of upgraded prewar models. In 1950’s Superluxus was manufactured however, it was a very expensive machine to produce; the high price limited sales and heralded years of financial difficulty for the company. Thereby concluding, very less number of mopeds got sold which makes it a rare automobile to acquire.
